About#

The ANU McCusker Institute is dedicated to fostering a vibrant transdisciplinary learning community that connects, engages, and inspires students to create positive social impact. By blending academic rigor with experiential learning, the Institute empowers students to become socially engaged citizens who contribute meaningfully to their local, national and global communities. This initiative is made possible through a generous philanthropic gift from the McCusker Charitable Foundation, along with support from the National Priorities Industry Linkage Fund (NPILF).

As the second of its kind in Australia, following the McCusker Centre for Citizenship at the University of Western Australia, the ANU McCusker Institute aims to enhance student learning experiences during a pivotal time of curriculum change at the university. With a focus on applying academic knowledge to real-world contexts, the Institute is set to implement a unique transdisciplinary academic program featuring projects and placements centred on social change, impact, and engagement. This program will be accessible to students across all degree programs, encouraging a diverse range of perspectives and collaborative efforts.
